Anyone ever seen someone tank in Berserker stance with a 2h weapon? Ever seen it work?
I think I did... but not sure how well it would have worked without an off-tank...
I still can't figure out how this was done, since I rarely use Berserker, and I'm not specc'ed for it.
Any ideas?

Staying in beserker? sounds a little insane to me.
ive switched to it for a battle where i am not the main target but to attack in beserk mode i think is a waste of rage.
Then again, if using an off-tank against multiple enemies it might make sense...not as much as having a defensive & battle stance combo but workable...
im fully trained in my beserker skills but find few spots to use them battle and defensive stances have nearly the same capabilities in terms of dmg versus multiple enemies and to be honest i spent nearly all my time while leveling in battle stance
i think beserker stance is overrated

If you take more damage (i.e. after armor mitigation), do you generate rage faster?

dont know something worth researching but at the same time i never seem to have trouble generating rage when fighting multiple mobs in either battle or defensive stances

old subject to touch on...
since ive respec'd with tactical i switch stances a lot more in battle...especially while tanking
in a single fight i switch several times according to the ebb and flow of the fight
i usually start in battle stance, charge, generate rage, demoralize shout, rend, switch to def stance, shield wall or block, battle shout, rend, rend, switch to beserker stance, whirlwind, cleave, beserker rage....the battle is usually in our favor by the time i finish that sequence...if the battle is still intense i switch back to def mode and stay there until we have the situation in hand

Rottenheart,
I suggest using TClap rather than DS before you switch to Def stance, since you can always DS in Def stance, but you can't TClap, and TClap is good for aggro-holding, too.
I must admit that I'm bad for not using Whirlwind, or much at all in Zerk stance - I'm too used to tanking as the punching-bag.

the last 2 instances i ran where i was doing a lot of stance switching and was surprised to see just how much aggro whirlwind generates
i dont have official numbers but i know they dont like it when i use it and have pulled more mobs away from teammates than expected

I assume you have a big, fat 2h you use for WWind?
My problem is getting the rage for WW after stance-switching, even with Tactical Mastery.
People actually object to you pulling aggro off them? Are you not Main Tank in a raid group, is that why?

miscommunication....
not that my party members dont like it...the mobs dont like it when i ww with my fiery alexander axe...
i typically do about 250-400 dmg per mob with one guy taking a crit hit of 600+...plus the extra 40 dmg from the fiery enchant that can also crit for 80 dmg...o how i luv my axe
(http://wow.allakhazam.com/item.html?witem=13003)
i dont have much trouble with rage as i use beserker rage to increase rage pts so that i can toggle between cleave and ww
as demonstrated in brd a couple of nights ago the combo makes for devastating effect
