Anyone able to make any of the 3 Volcanic items? I have set farming for the mats an item for me 'to do' so i can start on a base FR suit so need to know if we have a crafter of them....
Volcanic Leggings Volcanic Shoulders Volcanic Breastplate
Those 3 will yield me 58 FR. Hey, it's a start!

Don't bother with the shoulders or chest. Get the Nightbrace Tunic from UBRS, only +10 FR, but nice stats none the less. I think its +10 FR, +10 SR, +50 attack power. Nice piece to have.
As for shoulders, go for the Flamescarred shoulders from DM west. One of the first bosses, nice quick runs to get them. Again, only +10 FR, but nice stats. These are shoulders you could actually wear all the time happily, better then SC shoulders.
Yes, you lose 18 FR on this, but I'm at 173 FR unbuffed right now using these two pieces. My only volcanic piece is the legs, as legs wtih FR are very hard to come by.

Cool advice. Thnx.
I may still seek to get these nonetheless. Farming for the mats is proving to be a much easier task of late vs getting groups. This would allow me to get some needed gear while grinding solo....

Purlop,
I agree with McG... if you don't have stats on your FR gear, you are going to get smoked in MC anyway. If you want to farm stuff, and you can skin, start farming Dragonscales and selling them, or hold them for the Legacy bank (for future favours so you can get groups to help you with your own farming of instances...)

207 unbuffed FR now, no valcanic gear Though I do have two crafted epic pieces (molten helm, corehound boots) that make up like . . 73 of my FR (with the libram enchant on the helm). THANKS ZROG!!

McG... do you have that green belt from Strat yet, with the +20 FR?
Should I bother to make you a Lava Belt? (+26 FR, +15 Sta)

I do not yet have that belt, no. My current unbuffed FR is 214. I lose 200 attack power and 5% chance to crit with full FR gear. I am currently questioning what pieces I should and should not use for the Rag fight. We have to do massive damage, and if I lose that much in stats, maybe I need to try something else. I don't know what you think about this. I just know we need to have Rag down to less then 50% before he goes under, and we haven't gotten close yet, so I want to do my part to up my damage output. Not sure yet, maybe this coming Saturday I'll try some different combinations of armor, sacrificing a little FR to keep stats.
As it is, with 214 unbuffed + 27 from GotW + 60 from a shaman totem, I will be at 301 FR. So I don't think the belt will do much good at this point since I"ll be over the 300 breaking point, but thank you.

Well, I gave Spine the belt, and you and Dysp the boots... so I was wondering if I should just trick you all out with all 3 pieces and be done with it.
Then you can go challenge Malthorn to duels in full FR gear and really whup his ass... heheheh.

You think I need that to beat Mal? LOL. Ipit (frost mage, hasnt' been 60 for long) is the only mage who's come close to beating me recently. And it scared the crap out of me. He didn't realize he was starting the duel with like 15% mana til I pointed it out. And I almost lost. .wow. Malthorn cannot beat me anymore. Larry keeps trying, even with full DM Tribute buffs, can't do it. Meltordor didn't take off one HP in our last duel. Mages cannot win. I'm sure there's one out there who can, really, but its not mal

No, I haven't, and to be honest, I'm afraid of him, lol. I still might be able to take him, depending on his HP Crit ambush + crit backstab is going to make any mage hurt, even if it doesn't kill them. Especialy with daggers like mine Mages have to get away from us to win, cause otherwise we won't let them cast. But if they blink, I'll try to blind, then I'll stealth and ambush again. If they are too far away, I"ll vanish, and if they don't aoe enough, again, I'll ambush. If my cooldowns are all blown, yes, I'll lose. Oh, who am I kidding, Coma would whoop my arse. Current list of what scares me in terms of duels (in order) Demon specced locks Comatose Hunters (maybe, I've fought very few lately) That's it. I know there are people who can beat me in any class, and lots of them, probably. But I don't run into them often, lol. EDIT: I just read what I just wrote. . god I'm a cocky prick. Some of you come kick my ass (not vith or aph, I already know full well you can). I need some humility. . What a jerk, I want to kick my own ass.

I used to beat Mcg.......
About Coma, he doesnt have all that much +dmg gear or +crit %, and then the ToEP which helps, i think its more that he has 5k+ hp, with all his pvp gear and all.
I know id lose, but mcg i wouldnt mind dueling you some more just to see if i can get any better at it.....

I should start duelling people using DeDread, although he's got crap gear compared to most of you, now.
I think the primary win-factor for squishies in PVP is how much Hp they have, and how much dmg they can crank out, assuming equal player skill levels. But what do I know... I'm a Scout.
