For these runs, I think we could take anyone who is L55+, meaning that most of our 50's could go. This would give everyone MC experience, and hopefully we'd get some drops of Cores.
We would need at least 20 people for trash runs. Less would just mean a lesson in high repair bills.
Zrog is specced for tanking (32 points in Protection), and I'd really like to gear him up for MT in MC. I already have the Thorium Brotherhood rep to make the Dark Iron gear, and I already have about +60 in +Def gear, which we'll need for some of the bosses in MC (more than we'll need FR, apparently).
We also REALLY need a skinner with 315 skinning... you achieve this with the skinning enchant on gloves (+5), plus Grizzle's Skinner (+10 skinning), which can be obtained off the Beast in UBRS (drop % unknown). This will allow us to skin the "dogs" of MC, and get Core Leather, which can be used to make Core Leather kits and some of the MC-grade Leather Armor.

sometimes i hate wow
i hope we do not abandon our zg plans for this...no prereq quests, no specialized armor, smaller groups, new items

Well... I don't like ZG as much as MC, that's the main thing. ZG just frustrates me... I guess I have to move on past the bat lady and try something else.
Rottenheart, if you come to MC, you actually DON'T have to tank, at least not until the other tanks go down. If we run with Tainted as the other half of our raid, we will have plenty of warriors, and we can make some of THEM tank, while you go DPS.

Aph,
You will also need to run the Attunement to the Core quest in BRD to be able to enter Molten Core easily. I think Rottenheart and some others might need it too. Please get that done before October 14th.

OMG, I was actually addressed by Zrog on this board! I think thats a first. Even though it was in a nasty tone I will do my best to get that quest done by the 14th. Mal: I know Stomp is a 300 skinner. I am sure there are other probably too.

Aph,
Sorry for the tone... didn't mean it to sound like "DO THE QUEST, LITTLE PEON!"...
...maybe more like "DO THE QUEST NOOB!"
;-)
Nah, just thinking that the more ready you are for MC, the easier it will be for me to include you in a run, even if you are a low level.
Mal - Grizzle's Skinner is a dagger, I think. It's not really meant to fight with... just as an improved skinning knife.

Rottenheart,
MC, trash run or no, is about as different from Strat as a 15-man UBRS run is from ganking. Ok, maybe not that different, but...
In MC, people have to be a LOT more coordinated. There are usually 2+ mobs to fight, and because of their special abilities, it's sometimes critical that people even STAND in the right places, nevermind what they actually DO.
Focus-fire and correct target choice is key in MC. Often, there is at least one target that has to go down FAST, and sometimes there are adds / summons that have to be killed as soon as they spawn. Because things are so TOUGH, you really need MANY people to cooperate to get those various tasks done.
This is why people like things like CTRA (CT_RaidAssist) so much... the raid leader(s) can communicate what needs to be done.
The downsides of MC is that sometimes you can feel like an automaton (or lowly peon), and other times you have to do a LOT of waiting around, while things get explained, etc.
Similar to ZG, strategy is important in MC because one person doing the wrong thing or standing in the wrong place (usually the latter) can wipe a whole raid by bringing adds or causing a mob to run amuck.
On the plus side, you will see and fight mobs and bosses that you would NEVER otherwise see, the loot is incredible (even just to see it), and it's VERY cool to feel part of a 40-man raid that's just ticking along.
