I wasn't around during, but after. What I heard from Vith was that sickboy came into the HGA channel, and accused us of talking shit about Evil Empire, which none of us knew anything about. So he basically stayed in the channel, and as people left, eventually he was given moderator privilages. So he changed the HGA channel password and kicked everyone out.
We are using the channel hfa in the meantime...

The problem with those chat channels is that the moderator can change seemingly randomly when someone logs out (which is how Sickboy got to be moderator). What happened was that a former HGA person was in EE, and somehow Sickboy heard about HGA channel (perhaps from the Realm Forums, someone suggested), and decided to logon and talk shit about Silicon... and wouldn't leave. He also enjoyed making fun of PvE, being sarcastic and "interrupting" when someone was trying to talk about something else, and generally being a jerk. I heard that a lot of people didn't like him in the forums, and was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but now I will join the masses that have him on their /ignore list.
Deathtrixs (former LotV) was on the channel too, and objected to my saying that it was a private channel and that EE wasn't welcome in the HGA, although I said that because they don't need us to run their own raids. I also said that people are welcome by invitation.
This isn't the first time that something like this has happened with the HGA channel... but I don't know what to do about it, because unless we make sure to pass the channel owner between people we trust as we logout (if we happen to be the moderator).
This is the first time that I've even THOUGHT about what it would be like to make the HGA into a real guild, so that we could have private guildchat, formal ranks, and etc. I still don't want to be a GM, though.

I constantly troll the official forums, surprise right? Sickboy seems to have the idea that PVE raids are something to do between battlegrounds. He thinks its silly and that any groups full of noobs can take down all of MC. But only that the super good face melters can PvP. But I think its just about opposite. The WORST PVPer could sit at the farm at AB and simply shoot people with a wand for 18 hours a day, boring as that may be, and get an ass load of honor. Probably enough to get to rank 11 or even 12, or more!
But put in a bunch of people like that in MC, and they will just wipe on the first mobs again and again, and never learn! So I can see him jumping on and mocking our progress and just generally being an ass. Dude as some real personality issues and I think its best if we all just ignore him. As for Deathtrixs, he has this notation that he is a super mature player that knows the only one way that the game should be played. ‘Don’t buy stuff in AH, just sell your crap’ ‘Never do this or that’. However he seems to forget that one of the big draws of this game is that there are SO many different ways to play it. So I can see him getting on and saying ‘According to Blizzard, since you didn’t lock us out of this channel, we have a right to be here! I am absolutely right, and you are absolutely wrong!’ just because that’s how he sees it.
Basically /ignore is your friend. There are always people like this in the world, luckily in this game we have an easy way to not have to listen to their bullshit.

Speaking of /ignore. . I went into an AB the other night, asked for an invite, got squat. . asked again, nothing. Tonymontana and Comatose were in there, so I asked them to ask for an invite for me. Turns out I had Forain, the raid leader, on my /ignore list I have no recollection why, but he was, hehe. As for Deathtrixs, I think he is on my /ignore list too. He may not be anymore, I don't recall, but he is not one of the lost LotV we mourn. He left calling us a bunch of noobs who would never do the end game stuff. So, I wrote him off. As far as I'm concerned, I'm cool with more former LotV being in HGA, but not him.

I think we do really need to get a more protected channel...or start using the one we had after asshole Topper.
For me..............i dont like big guilds becasue they have tons and tons of people i dont know. If HGA was to become 1 guild (which i do think would make a so much easier)...i would not mind all that muhc due to the fact that i know alot of the people now.
Fact is i know tons of people wouldnt like that.
But like you said, it woudl help alot. We wouldnt have people comming into our channels causing problems. In the long run i do see it helping us tons.
Shitty cus untill now i always had no problems with Sickboy....now for all i care he can burn in hell.

I couldn't remember if Deathtrixs left LotV on a good note or not...
I was trying to be polite to Sickboy and co... but it didn't seem to do any good. It really bugs me when they take over the channel like that, so maybe we really should put some thought into moderating the channel and transfering owners as we log?

The way i see it is i dont care if people r ass holes so long as their not assholes directed twords me or buddies But yeah i think we should think about putting some passwords and transfering the moderator privlages. however i dont think i wanna become one big guild cause it would cause all kinds of attitude squables. o and as for deathtrixs he left on a bad note i was on when he left. He said well i was gonna wait till 60 but then he quit wisped him said he thought we were imachure and would never be able to do the big instances my reply was _!_ middle finger typed

my opinion of sickboy and deathtrix?
ive spokent to sickboy a couple of times, nothing serious, been i 1 or 2 ab and av games with him.....did not bother me at all
i see deathrix fairly often in ab but have never spoken to him directly
i do read the pvp forums for tips and come across many EE posts, they are pretty full of themselves, the exception to this is wskiw, a very polite guy, seems very cool ive also spoken to vokster, not the friendliest, but not rude either some of the new EE guys im pretty cool with; sinnister, greenandmean, zink...etc
if you guys read the pvp forums you can pretty much tell that sickboy has a humongous ego, just thouht he saved it for the alliance, too bad
