Alright, let's see how it works. I've registered #LotV on Gamesurge for us. Depending on if people join or not I'll hang around. For now, I'll be idling there 24/7, anything said in there I will see eventually. Feel free to leave me a message.
Zrog, the intent wasn't to use it at the same time, I was hoping to just have a kind of guildchat outside the game, just in case anyone actually liked talking to anyone else.
For those of you who aren't so IRC inclined, you can get a client here: www.mirc.com/ To join the channel, just fire it up, put in whatever you want your name to be (please make it the same as your name in WoW...) and type in this line in the main window: /server irc.us.gamesurge.net 6667 -j #LotV For those of you who use Trillian, it can be set up to join an IRC channel, though I don't recall the specifics.
Cool, sounds neat. I might hop on if I need to get ahold of someone, and it makes communicating with you guys easy while I'm on my main. I'll grab the client when I've more time.
Thanks for the info Vith.
60 Warrior (H), 70 Shaman (H), 70 Mage (A), 70 Rogue (A), 7 Priest (A). I play every class. I *had* too much time on my hands... Feel free to ask for advice. If needed, I am willing to use my Alliance characters to help with non-instance quests. Just let me know.
OK, I just tried to set this up finally. I figure since I will have more screens to work with at home, I can use this now! YAY.
But I have never really used IRC much, and (and I hate to say this) I grew up as AOL was exploding and always used its IM feature. *is ashamed*
But someone (Vith?) get on this channel so I can make sure I did this right. I will leave it up until about 3 PM server time today. Thanks.
EDIT: Aph is a retard. I will be on VPNs on and off all day, so it wont look like I am there all the time.

Whoever appeals to the law against their fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, “If I live, I WILL KILL YOU. If I die, you are forgiven”. Such is the rule of honor.
