Lol, I dunno where you guys get the idea that I listen to Fall Out Boy and shit. The only "emo" I like is the real hardcore punk stuff; a la Rites of Spring, Fugazi, Embrace. That's actually GOOD. Hell, even that I don't listen to that much.
Fallout Boy and the other "emo" posers these days are just a bunch of faggots and I hate them for utterly destroying a good genre.
You'll soon know what I mean with metal with Killswitch Engage, Ateryu, and other shitty metalcore bands. *braces for Cherry*

Whoa, don't lump Fugazi in with faggot emo. Fugazi is Fugazi and nothing else. Guys who put out their own music to put out their own music, refuse to play a show at a venue that charges more then $5-7 at the door or has an age restriction, and publish and distribute their own shit, so they have complete control.
Plus Fugazi was born from the ashes of Minor Threat.
So don't you EVER gay them up like that.

Minor Threat was one of the original emo bands. Like I said, original emo was NOT faggot emo. Fueled by Ramen and the 00's in general ruined it. In general, the new faggot emo bears no resemblance to old emo other than the name.
And don't me wrong, I love Fugazi.

Holy fucking shit, and alpha calls you a music guru. Minor Threat is old school mother fucking punk rock. The kind of guys that would fucking clean emo kids off of their boots.

Dude, you don't have a fucking clue what you're talking about. MINOR THREAT AND FUGAZI DO NOT RESEMBLE CURRENT EMO. THEY WERE THOUGH IN FACT, PART OF THE HARDCORE PUNK SCENE DURING THE 80s. DURING THIS TIME THEY LABELED THEMSELVES EMOTIONAL HARDCORE, EMO FOR SHORT. THE SHITTY BANDS TODAY ADOPTED THAT. They don't resemble today's emo genre, it was almost completely different in the 80s. Just because emo has a negative connotation today doesn't mean it did back then.

Emo was not a fucking genre back in the day dude. You know, back when you were a fetus? Yeah, those days. Emo started as math rock, nerd rock, whiney rock, not fucking hardcore.

Yes it was fucking hardcore. Husker Du and Minor threat are hardcore punk bands. Not HARDCORE, but they were hardcore punk. They were labled emotional hardcore by their followers, emo for short. NOT THE EMO OF TODAY.
Emo was a subgenre, not a genre.

Also I got bored and looked it up. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emo_%28music%29In the article it says Fugazi was an influence of 90's emo music and an offshoot of the first emo scene, but I don't even know that band or anything about emo, I'm just bored. =P
