Just for the record, Alpha was being 100% sarcastic when he made that post. Him and Wolf often get into arguments about such things and it always ends in disagreement. Except with Nirvana. Nirvana fucking rules.

I like techno, but thats because I'm secretly a robot and the beeps make me feel at home. I mostly dont listen to super serious music that is about how much you hate your dad or how a girl wont spread her legs for you.........(last sentence sounded like a more interesting song than intended.

Nirvana had their thing in the day, it was what the kids wanted to hear. No talent for playing, only for playing music the masses wanted to hear. The live show was overall unimpressive, and it just doesn't have lasting appeal, in my opinion.
They found Cobain's body on the day after I turned 16. Hard to forget, cause it was on the news while my buddy was trying to get me back to my house for my surprise party that he almost made me miss, and he ran so many red lights I thought I'd never make it home alive. I asked him why he was in such a hurry, he said he had a party to go to. I asked whose, he said some dick I wouldn't like, so I wouldn't want to come. He was right, the guy was a dick, and the party was lame. The first hour was people bitching about what a genius Cobain was, how he was our generation's John Lennon. That drove me nuts, even then, when I liked Nirvana.
The party picked up when my buddies lit the 5 foot long fake joint they'd made for me and ran down the street with it.

While Nirvana may seem to play to the masses, it was needed at the time to get out of the hair metal that was popular in the 80s. IMO at least.
Their regular live show wasn't that impressive, but their MTV Unplugged set is goddamn amazing.
BTW, Nevermind is their worst album.
In Utero > Bleach >>>> Nevermind

Meh, I never really got into Tool. The only A Perfect Circle album I like is Mer De Noms.
Metal in general just isn't my thing outside of sludge and doom.

stop being a sissy and listen to Mudmen or Drop kick murphy's! That will set you straight. Some Rancid or Ramones might help too.
