Do the glowing trinkets show me a way home, or simply a glowing path for some one else to follow?

hah....bring it Fire. Im serious, Id be completely fine with them raising the driving age and lowering the drinking age. I doubt that'll happen with the drinking age, but they are considering raising the driving age here in Colorado, they've allready added more rules recently like the limit on number of people in your car depending on how long you've had your license.

Thats called Graduated Licensing. Basically it imposes restrictions on new license holders for a few months so they can get experience in optimum situations (during normal waking hours, with less people in the car in riskier situations, not towing anything).
Despite most teenagers feelings that they are invincible (or close to it) and that they can jump behind the wheel as skilled as anyone else, it doesn't quite happen that way. Unfortunately, the best place to practice is on the road. Next best is to go to a field with a field car and have a little fun. I went through Graduated licensing and its really not that bad. Just don't drive stupid.
I'd ask your parents to go to a deserted parking lot in Winter to get some practice in there if you don't have the luxury of 25 flat acres to drive around in.
