Maybe getting back to my mage

I was fooling around with the mage talent calculator and came up with this build:

The idea behind this one is to stock up on +dmg and +crit gear and hopefully have some mana regen from getting crits from the master of elements talent while doing some decent dps. Then again, I might just end up putting more points in fire later since fire mages are the way to go endgame.

Fire build may go something like this:

We have totally different styles of play, so stuff I say may mean nothing to you .

- Both builds have Imp Frostbolt, but your fire build doesnt have Imp Fireball? I would think with a fire build you were planning on using fireball as your main spell. If you want a fire build, I'd suggest taking the 10 points from Shatter and Ice shards and put them into Imp Fireball, Playing with Fire, the Pyro/Blast Wave combo, and then maybe take one point from Imp Frostbolt and get Dragons Breath(totally worth it, too awsome to not get for the 1 point). To me this all makes sense if your going for a fire build, if your going for an elemental build, I would say different.

- On your frost build, it looks good to me, heh. I havnt done frost much at all so Im not really sure what to tell you there...you know more then I do in that field.
