So, my level 54 shaman can't get a group for BRD. Was this ever a problem for other shamans when they leveling, or am I just unlucky?
The three groups I asked said they wanted a priest or druid. Have all these other people just had bad experiences with dps only shamans or something?

Ipit - I find that often times in five mans Shaman are actually very welcome. They can off tank when needed, they can support heal when needed, and DPS quite well the rest of the time.
I would be more than happy to help you out in a BRD. Just let me know next time I am on.

Hey Ipit....I was just posting for a group for BRD this week on the Purg site. I'm not sure how many people need it...only one I know sure and myself of course, you are welcome to come along. It will be either Tuesday or Thursday night.....let me know if one of those works for you and I'll make sure it's on that day.

Fact is a lot of people just don't want to believe a shaman can be a primary healer. A lot of this is because many shaman don't want to be healers, aren't specced for healing, and suck when they are asked to be healers.
That said, I'll go to BRD with ya anytime I'm free.

When we ran DM west to get Exmodel's (I think) dreadsteed our only healing was Watusi, a shaman from Prom Dates. She did a fantastic job too, considering she was elemental specced at the time. That dreadsteed event isn't particularly easy. The prince, on the other hand... he just kicked all our asses from here to china and back.

Do the glowing trinkets show me a way home, or simply a glowing path for some one else to follow?

Its a load of crap though if mhed in every 5 man in game.

I think the Shaman class attracts more shitty healers than the druid or priest classes. Probably BECAUSE in the early game, shammies are an OT / DPS class (or think they are).
However, I've seen some shammy healers kick the ass of the 5man instances.

5 man strat: Me, Silicons rogue, Zrog, Karunaji, and Eviseron. We fucked the place up, and the shammy healing was awsome.

It's an odd little cycle. I'd be able to heal better if I could get more loot from getting groups, which won't take me because I don't heal well enough.
Oh well, hopefully I can get to 60 and get enough gear so they let me in MC to get healing gear. After that, I might be able to go back and group to get some of the offensive caster stuff that's be nice.

ditto man, i'll group with ya anytime. of course that means anytime I am not raiding, which basically means tuesdays and saturday/sunday, and only then when I can convince the wife I've spent enough time with her lately...
but yeah, gimme a holler... i had an outstanding loot weekend, so other than working on my blacksmithing I'm not really busying myself with anything for a while. :-)

Ipit, ive gotta do all 3 attunements on Tionik. A 2nd healer on the Warlords command would def be nice.
Wanna try and get a MC attunement going Friday night?
