I can make the Thorium Shield Spike... but I don't have 2 x Essence of Earth to make it.
I would gladly make it for others first, since it's orange and would skill me up to make it.
Can anyone help?

I have some Essence of Earth I will send to you. If you need a more steady supply the golems in the badlands can be farmed for this.

I do mean ESSENCE of earth, not Elemental Earth... right?
The only place I know this stuff drops semi-reliably (6% rate) is from level 60 elites in Ungoro....

I DO need help with this, but there's tons of other things I'm trying to do, including run BRD before I level past all the quests.
I'll definitely take you up on that, though.

zrog is known as great tank...rotten is only ok...sigh

I have revised my opinion once again about what makes a great tank - I think spec really does have a lot to do with it, as does the party you're with. No one can be a great tank if their party sabotages their every effort...
