I heard a rumour that warriors are getting nerfed next patch... something about their DEF getting taken down a bit, because rogues are complaining that they lose too often. Might just be a nasty rumour... I'll try to find something more on the forums today.
It's all Rottenheart's fault, for doing so much DPS. Someone found out! THEY are listening!

Here's the patch notes:
Switching weapons in combat triggers a 1 second global cooldown for all abilities for rogues and a 1.5 second global cooldown for everyone else. Makes quick-switch to Overpower a little tougher
Warriors
Deflection - Will now increase parry chance when using Fist Weapons. There are hardly any fist wpns anyway... so what? Retaliation - Will now cause a maximum of 30 retaliatory strikes in 15 seconds. In addition, retaliatory strikes will not be possible while stunned. Only 30? Make sure you break out your 2h, anyway... Improved Revenge - The stun effect can now be resisted. Just what we need - another Prot warrior gimp Mace Specialization - The stun effect can now be resisted. I know no one who uses this talent Retaliation, Recklessness and Shield Wall will no longer be cancelled if you switch stances while the effect is active. Thank the good Lord... I hated that. Shield Slam - Threat caused increased. Maybe the top of the Prot tree will be less useless now Shoot Bow/Gun/Crossbow - Should no longer cause a global cooldown on all other abilities. This was inconvenient when pulling - I couldn't bloodrage right away after the pull, if I didn't remember to do it beforehand
Items (also affects Warriors a lot)!
We have determined that the defense statistic was being applied to items too liberally, causing those items to be stronger than they should have been relative to other items of the same level with different effects. As a result, we have reduced the amount of defense points on all items with bonuses to defense by approximately 33% in order to bring those items in line with other similar items. All that +Def gear you have is getting gimped

grumble...warriors catch enuff flak from party members about tanking and we also get our butts kicked a lot in duels and pvp already....wtf...when will we get some big enhancements to offset the immobilization, stun, fear, immune effects that our targets use against us?
in light of this news ROTTEN WILL DOUBLE HIS DPS!!!
Fear the killer tanks! hahaha!

I wish they would break up the cooldown timers on Shield Wall and Retaliation... they are used for such different purposes that it's pain that they are on the same timer. I suppose it's all PVP related, but ... sigh.

Can you imagine if a Warrior activated all three 30 min cooldowns at once?
Retal Strikes at near gauranteed crit while blocking almost every incoming attack? Ouch.

Mages have been nerfed over and over and over again since this game started in beta. Rouges havnt always been the onyl ones to be able to oepn locks...walls didnt used to stop us...AOE's used to actualy do major dmg.

i think it rather funny when i hear ppl yelling for rogues to open lockboxes instead of buying keys from a blacksmith...

I have encountered some lockboxes I can't open with a Truesilver key... and I'm sure not making Arcanite keys just so I can open boxes that a rogue can open for free!
I believe that's the difference Rottenheart... a rogue, as long as he's carrying tools, can open an unlimited number of boxes right there... whereas a warrior (unless he's carrying a suitable key), has to go get mats, make key, THEN open box.
A rogue can also level lockpicking by opening boxes, which is probably why many of them do it for free.

i know that...
it just amuses me that no one ever yells for keys so they can open their own boxes

You guys misunderstood what i meant....."rogues used to not be the only ones who could open lockboxes. Mages used to have the ability to open locks so that rogues werent manditary on certain instances. We also used to blink thorugh walls...(yah was a little much). Casting times were also raised....spell dmg decreased...

Mal,
Uh... so what's your point? We just went off on a tangent about smithing keys and lockboxes...
