This thread is started in the hopes that hunters such as Swarmed and Hazel might stop by and tell us how they're doing with the new talents. After all, I have to find if you guys have anymore weakness I may exploit in PVP...I mean... After all, I've read some of the stuff on paper that they've changed but have been curious how it is in game.

Yeaa, arcane shot is really really good now. Our weakness is our mana pool now, we burn through mana really really really really really really... really fast, so im looking for mana regen gear now. /love Silencing Shot Im not sure on how my DPS was affected or how much arcane shot was raised for damage, cause the mod i used i dont think has been updated yet (the dps meter in ctmod) Aimed shot isnt worth it most of the time now, cuase it is a longer cast time and resets autoshot

i accually dont think the talent is worth it atm, though im considering it. But i dont like it becuase of the extra mana it costs and it stops us from regening anything

wait, I don't understand. You like arcane shot, but you don't like being able to use it more? Is the mana usage that bad that you can't keep up with drinking after the pull? Also with multi-shot you're never going to be outside the 5 second rule.
How's the new mana usage with aimed shot? Do you think DPS might be higher on something like a boss fight using aimed shot if you take mana usage into account?

not sure but I was seeing over 1k crits on aimed shot with taxes in his 40s in auction house greens. Seems to me that a well geared hunter could do that. My green geared level 60 shaman can definitely crit for over that much.

Aimed Shots from well geared hunters (tier 2 and up) is easily taking off half of Dysp's life, which is about 2100 damage. Hunters are painful, and now that more of them are gonna be running around with HWL/GM ranged weapons . . . /sob

I'm finding that my ranged spec is very poweerful in the way of my average shot damage but my crit rate has drop alot- not sure how I want to work it out- and with the beast talents now- you have the potential to make a pet stronger than most tanks- I'm not sure what i want to do anymore /cry

unless your are raiding MC/BWL, i am quite confident that Beast Mastery is the way to go. You lose a lot of crit from losing survival, but the other shiny things in MM/BM makes either your noncrit damage really high(MM) or your pet BIG AND RED. If you go MM, the vast majority of your damage will be from noncrits. If you go BM, the vast majority of your damage will be from noncrits, AND YOUR BIG RED FUCKING PET. In most situations aimed shot is useless now. It takes too long to cast, and it resets autoshot. If i wants big damage i go with multishot. Unless i have someone frozen...

pretty close. Um, i wouldnt have taken Catlike Reflexes, though it doesnt matter too much. I would have taken thick hide. Perhaps give up the one point in mark I also am not that impressed with ferocious inspiration, though it could be better then it reads.

on ferocious inspiration, I think to me sounds very good. 3%+ DPS is something nearly everyone that does DPS specs for, and with your pet having all the attack speed specs and +crit chance specs and + focus generation specs it should be proccing all the time.
Also I would have thought that a BM spec would really benefit from the new improved mark, since you're giving all that attack power to your pet as well as the side benefit of having it for raiding to really help the melee DPS.

Ok, report on ferocious inspiration:
Yeah that buff is pretty much permanently on with a beast master build. I just did about 40 mins of farming AD rep and I think it only got down to 1 sec once. It kept proccing on top of itself all the time.
