Hmm. Curious. I have a dagger I bought from AH for ambush crits...yum. I'd like to get some bonuses added to it. What are my options?
Id prefer stam and agility added, but dunno what max I can get on it and who can do it for me, if anyone. Looking for some guidance since Im ZERO on knowledge re: 'chanting

OK, your choices depend very heavily on your cash flow. Considering you are using this dagger just for ambushing, I wouldn't reccomend spending too much on enchanting it.
Just to be clear: Is this a dagger you will keep equipped all the time? Or are you, like I was until recently, equipping this dagger just for ambush then switching to another weapon?
If the dagger is for ambush purposes only, I would suggest a +dmg enchant, as ambush depends on base weapon damage. Also, you'll want the slowest, highest dmg PER hit dagger you can find. DPS doesn't matter on a weapon you only ambush with, only its per hit dmg. If this dagger is a workhorse for you though, one you will keep equipped, I'd strongly suggest agi. There is something to be said for stamina, but mostly only for pvp purposes. For actual combat, we have plenty of ways to shed our hate and this not get hit (at least in party situations), and as for solo, the quicker you kill something the less damage you will take. Agi is your best frined (at least until you start getting +attack power and + crit gear). Even then, agi is very nice. It gives you attack power (1 agi = 1 attack power), chance to crit (30 agi = 1% chance to crit at lvl 60, each agi = more % chance to crit at lower lvl's), armor (1 agi = 2 armor), chance to dodge (not sure of the calculation on this one). That's a lot of bonuses for the one stat. I'm at 325 agi at this point (42 from enchants, +15 to each weapon, +5 to boots, +7 to gloves). I get less from my gear then I used to, as I'm slowly replacing a lot of it with +attack power gear.
Also, you can only get one enchant on a given item, so you can only get +dmg, or +agi or + stam, etc. The problem with spending much on enchanting your lower lvl weapons is you are going to replace them fairly soon. Unfortunately, we don't have many skilled enchanters in the guild (aph and I both use it pretty much to DE, shans is offline these days), so I'm not sure what the best any of us could offer you free of charge is.

Right now, I rely on daggers solely. Havent picked up a sword...yet. I have two flavors that I employ on a mob...
1) Distract (+ Pick pocket if possible) 2) Ambush for equal and lower level mobs 3) Kick casters as needed with Evis tossed in. Toss in a gouge and marry it to a backstab.
So, far Ive been very pleased with the above on humanoid mobs. Works well. That is until I saw an equal level Rogue take off 2/3rds of a mobs health as HIS opener. He was using a Ziggler and critting for 700. Im in the 575 area for my best atm.
Anyway, summary.. I ambush as an opener and stick with 2 daggers all the time.
Agility for the win! Ill have to look for an enchanter tonight to figure out the cost. My motivation is...faster kills...faster xp. Yea, Ill outgrow it fast, I know, but I dont mind spending the isk to grind faster.

oh, and the 2nd flavor for higher than me mobs is to employ the armor debuff in my formula...
1) KS opener 2) SS for 3rd Combo point 3) Gouge for 4th 4) BS for 5th 5) Debuff armor for max debuff
Get SnD working on him with SS and Evis tossed in.

Not bad ideas. My typical one on one fight (PvE) is this, barring stun resists.
Ambush Restore full energy, or at least 90+ Gouge Wait a few seconds to regain energy while not in combat Backstab Regain 90+ energy Gouge Backstab
Full combo points, eviscerate.
Very few mobs survive this.
Personally, I hate our armor lowering skill (can't even recall the name anymore). I never use it, it isn't hot keyed anymore. Why? the extra damage from eviscerate at 5 combo points usually is enough to get them damn near dead. Slice and dice I only use on long boss fights, and even then, rarely. The chance for a 1500-2000 point hit is worth more then the 25% increased attack speed.
Glad to hear you are daggers, I've found it much more useful. . I was a sword rogue until about 2 weeks ago. The 4-550 point SS's were nice, but the 1k+ backstabs are nicer.
And trust me, as a rogue, playing like this, you will level faster on grinding then almost anyone else. Other can take less dmg or heal themselves or whatever, but carry bandages and food, and you barely have to stop at all, ever.
I remember at 55 or so taking on 3 mobs lvl 54-56 at once, then getting an add as the first died, and another add as the second died. 5 mobs, al 54-56. I used every ability I had, but I rocked them all.
