You have a harder time stunning Wolf because Orcs have a racial extra stun resist. I'm an Orc too, so good luck with that. Retaliation will help win me one fight. Mind if we fight a half hour apart?
I've actually never dueled a rogue. I usually don't take the time for duels, I'm always trying to level up or something silly like that.

Well, I'll be happy to do what I can to set this up. I don't want to just come up with the rules on my own, however, how bout I post what I come up with sometime tomorrow (after I've actually slept a bit), and we'll take suggestions?

I'm guessing no one else wants to be allowed to use Eng devices?

Yeah, I'm definitely up for some 10 minute plus duels with Stomp again. >_>
Seriously though, this sounds great. I'm good for it.

Any wagering wanted by anyone? as long as we keep it under the table we'll be fine. Maybe small for now?..like 5g each..winner take all? Later maybe more..?

OK, I know I said I'd post this on Saturday, but here are my thoughts. I want to know if the guild is interested in this (I know some of you hate dueling, and that's ok). I view this as a learning experience, not a chance to beat up my friends. I know I'll lose, I know too many of you who can beat me.
Anyway, here we go, my thoughts on rules (please chime in):
I get the names of all who want in. We'll take all levels, in my opinion, but we will set up level sets, similar to Battle Grounds, perhaps. If the high 50's (say 55+) want to throw down with the 60's, I say let them, we'll work that out. If they don't, I say we do the BG setup, 10-19, 20-29, etc, with 60's in a class alone. We can have a champ of each bracket.
I'm getting ahead of myself. I'll make a tree and post it so we can see the match ups, and who wins, who loses, and who is going to take on who next. We try to do as much as we can on the weekends at set times if possible, but I know that doesn't work for everyone, so we do fights as needed when both players are on. If the matched up players seldom/ never play at the same time, we switch them with another set in their same current bracket and win level.
I'm thinking best 2 out of 3, beyond that, it can get tedious, but single elimination allows for that fluke loss that drives out someone for bad luck. You do your fights back to back, so plan your timer based abilities appropriately. Of course you get time to heal up (with food, drink, etc).
Fire will hate me for this, but you can not use trade skill based item skills. What I mean by this is, if you have an engineering piece of gear, you can wear it, but do NOT activate. You do not use potions. I don't mean you can't wear the gear you made, that's ok. To be honest, I' not against using the effect on something like a Helm of Fire (shoots a fireball at opponent), as these are usable by anyone, if they have them. Its possible we'll get some items in question here, and we can take them on a case by case basis. My reasoning for this is, allowing that use penalizes the people who took up trade skills that can actually benefit others, i.e. leatherworking, blacksmithing, etc.
We can even make a seperate bracket, so the people who lose their duels don't feel left out or like they are done. Anything like that is up to you guys.
Again, these are MY thoughts for rules, they are by no means set in stone. I just like this idea, and thought I'd go ahead and take point on it. If we get no interest, so be it, I wasted ten minutes of my life writing this. I've wasted far more time on far less. And I will again.
Post your thoughts, if you would.

No potions is a good rule. This will also prevent people from squandering all their potions just to win the tourney.
Of course, it also means that someone has to be vigilant about watching for potion use...
