I was bored today, so I decided that I was going to make the build I'll use for my pally once I hit 70. This will (hopefully) be used for raiding, as I'd like to get to 70 quite fast so I can play with all of you.
I was hoping like, Ipit or someone that has a paladin could post some feedback since I kinda am a newb right now when it comes to the world of the paladin.
I think you'll always want spiritual focus (not losing casting time when hit), since most "good" fights you're in, you'll be healing yourself at least once or twice in battle. I found that my pally had to pull 2-4 mobs at a time due to the lack of ranged attacks.
Improved devotion aura is only really good if you're raiding endgame and you're in a main tank group. Unless you plan to tank yourself, anything which buffs your damage or improved your healing should take priority. Not only that, but if your'e grouping with orther pallys at any time, they will only have devotion aura up, so I found myself having to change my aura to something else all the time so the group would actually get another benefit for having 2 pallys (*sigh).
If you have Seal of Command, you won't really be using Seal of Righteousness so improving it may not be a great use of your talent points ( I may be wrong).
If you think you might want a little more defensive ability, Deflection is nice since it'll help you progress through the retribution tree.
If you have SoC and Consecration, then you'll be doing more holy damage. I'd also consider Improved Seal of the Crusader. It'll also help if you're grouped with "holy" priests which throw out an occasional smite.
Granted, I've only played my pally to level 25ish, but theses are a few things I've noticed.
