I did not know where to put this, and Humor seems like my domain so here we go.
I will start by making a list of "must watch anime" and we can add to it.
1- Maria-sama ga miteru 2- The Melancholy of Hauri Suzumiya 3- Fate Staynight 4- Evangelion 5- Death Note 6- Shuffle! 7- Kanon 8- Lucky Star 9- Rozen Maiden 10- Bleach (only the Soul Society arc)
Thats all I can think of at the moment. Feel free to ad or talk about these. I do not know who (if any) of you watch anime, But I guess I will find out if this thread flops horribly.

So I'm not an anime buff by any means. I have seen some anime that I liked, and would be interested in finding more.
What I look for is high quality animation (none of that Dragonball Z shit) with mature themes (not porn you sicko). I enjoyed Record of Lodoss War quite a bit when I was in high school, for the record.

oh and guys, you don't really need to torrent most animes anymore. www.tv-links.co.uk has a seperate anime section and all of the ones I've looked up are still functioning. They've even got Subbed and Dubbed versions of most. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go watch some Megas XLR...it's not anime, but it makes me giggle shitless.

I've heard pretty good things about Avatar: The Last Air Bender but have yet to watch any myself.
Only the Soul Society arc in Bleach is worth watching Stomp? I think the Arrancar arc is getting pretty good, perhaps you just haven't updated in a while.
I guess seeing as I have Luffy as my avatar I will say One Piece is worth watching. Unfortunately it only starts getting good in the Arlong arc (about 20 episodes in) but considering they're almost up to 300 now that doesn't seem like a large portion. Also, stay away from the dub like the plague.
I also like The Irresponsible Captain Tylor. It's only 26 episodes so it's not a series you'd have to dedicate a lot of time. Although it's been a long time since I've watched it so I can't remember how well it may have aged.
