Alright, so I've been talking to Vithigar about his pvp dueling adventures. From what I hear, a demon spec warlock is almost impossible to even damage. Let's have a some of our mages try and brainstorm together to see if we can come up with a few ideas to give these warlocks a little more trouble.

Ok, I have thought of some ideas.
1) Roll a Lock. 2) Just quit now. 3) Dress up like a succubus. Sneak into their home as they are sleeping and stand next to their bed. When they wake up, simply pretend you are their summon. They may seem a little confused, but sit there and whip yourself and moan, and you should be able to pull it off. Then follow them around until they go to brush their teeth. Then, when they are least suspecting it, SLIT THEIR THROAT! It is imperative that you wait until then, as trying to do it in their sleep will result in the loss of your life.
Other than these three ideas, I really don’t know.

Haha, you guys make me laugh. Anyways aph and I need to duel now that I am a 60 so I can see how tough you really are. Then I can help come up with some ideas.

To be honest, there aren't a lot of ppl I can't beat at least half the time, and there are still quite a few I can beat the snot out of on a regular basis at this point.
Demon locks are the exception. Hunters are my anti class, and I've learned enough to even handle some of them fairly well in battle grounds, though less so in duels, since they know I'm coming.
At this point, I'm just proud that Vith told me that when we duel he is on the edge of his seat, and I almost always at least make him use a healthstone (which he learned while dueling me CAN crit heal. . ) or sack his VW or both. I've beaten him once out of several duels since he respecced. I can't remember, but I think Aph has taken me to school as well.
I have no ideas for you. I have none for rogues, for that matter. The only possibility I can think of is 100% stun lock. Do not let them cast once, or you may well die, cause it will be death coil, you'll run, they'll DoT you to hell, and that's it, you're done, can't bandage, can't stealth, stunning them only lets you die while you regain energy.
Lets think. . Cheap shot, a few hits, gouge before CS breaks, a few hits, kidney shot, a few hits, vanish before it breaks, cheap shot repeat etc. Here's the thing. They can take so mugh frikkin damage before they die, and you are only using combo points to stun lock, no energy for a backstab, and even when you do, what, a few hundred points isn't much to them. And yes, even if you crit, maybe 500. Freaking soul link. And here's the other part of this. You can do it one time, maybe two in a row if you are lucky. I'm not saying you'll win, I'm saying you can try. You vanish, 5 mins til its up again. If they don't die that round, you do. You use preperation, vanish again. That's two vanishes on one fight. Still, you'll be lucky to take them down. That fight ends. You still have like 3-4 minutes left on vanish. And 8-9 on preperation (assuming you even have prep). Its a goddamn nightmare.

HAHAHAHA Demon Locks are the ELITE SUXOR! I whoop there ass, and its me, ME!
How does this make you feel?
Mages are hit and miss for me, if they use silence I die.
Demon Locks are no problem at all, its quite amusing for me.

Well, the major problem is that these warlocks have a ridiculous resistance to everything, and when you're a mage, damage is all you really have. Seeing constant "resist" pop up isn't going to win you the duel, yet there has to be some way to do something against them and their felhunters. Stomp, I'm glad to hear that someone can rip Vith apart, since besides you, I don't know anyone else who has with his new build. Go super cow!

Yes yes, healers are quite hard now for me to take. Typically for locks a longer fight is good, cause we have our DoTs just ticking away. But with a healer (aka Stomp) a longer fight is bad, as they will just heal up. I used to be able to blast out enough instant damage that they would go down, but now, not However that is a SMALL price to pay to be able to take rogues. Ah Yea!

People who have decisively beaten me: Karunaji (though this can go either way, it all hinges on his crits) Stomp (damn healing in bear form ) Wskiw (no surprise there, the guy tore me to pieces in under five seconds)
