this come directly from the wow.com fourms after someone asked how the review was going, this is what he said. im getting a bit excited with what he said, so hurry the fuck up 1.10 i want 1.11 "I have heard a few specific things which I really wish I could share with you, but I can't (too soon) However, there are simple, dead-on changes which I am sure each and every mage will be pleased with. Another upcoming addition doesn't have to do with talents, but works off of an existing spell and sounds like a heaping bowl of fun. I really hate not being able to talk in specifics right now, but I think we are going to have to wait until at least the release of 1.10 before I can share details. The devs have put together some stuff concretely and some stuff theoretically, but it will be built more when they are actually focusing on it after 1.10. For a piece of general philosophy behind the talent changes, one aspect is that the devs are looking for more synergy between the fire and frost trees. The "elementalist" build is something they would like to see as more viable for the future mage. As a closing note, the feedback you have given over the time I've been here is going to good use. I have seen some posts on here which pretty much ask for exactly some of the things I've seen, which gives me a sort of uncanny tingling. It shows a focused and imaginative attitude from you guys that overlaps with the devs. For some, I imagine it will be like getting the toy you asked Santa for. Breathe deep and exert your patience for a bit longer. Things are going good and they will get here eventually "

OMG that tells us like SHIT!
That was like 5 parapraphs of prep / conclusion...and 1 paragraph saying what they plan on changing in the most broad way possible.
Screw it, i like how mages are now, i dont need anything more.

things change post epic gear, in AV every one steamrolls me, i personally dont think many changes are needs, ice blocks aggro reduction needs to be change to a dump, a frost kite spell similar to scorch and a change in the way manashield works is all thats really needed. IAE should be moved up in the tree 1 teir but either then that im happy, just being a postal boy

Well its not suppose to make you invincible duh.
And anyway you can only use it a few times withouth imp mana sheild, cus then you run out of mana so fast you cant keep it going forever.
Also, it doesnt have a cooldown so if you are getting hit hard you can just spam it every second.

Yeah, I am no mage, but I think one or 2 hits sounds right. It shouldn't be as strong as a priest shield. Just something for those OH SHIT kinda situations. But w/e I am a silly lock and know nothing of your class.

Well mana shield is enough to run from an elite with 100hp left, cus as long as they dont do more then the like 550dmg or whatever it is every second, you can stay safe as long as you got the mana to keep the shield going.
IMO, the spell is jsut right, not to good, not to bad.

Yes, I would say that running away from an elite with 100HP left would fall under the OH SHIT category. So I am right! MWAHAHAHA!
