Reposting this here in case the official WoW thread gets archived:
The difference between two Rogues of similar skill level will often be determined by the quality of their gear. The Rogue with a complete set of Epic quality armor and weapons will have a distinct advantage over the Rogue using weaker green items. Knowing this, Rogues strive to complete the "ultimate set" of gear, taking part in high level raids and PVP combat. But how is a Rogue to know which armor or weapon is "the best"? Comparing items with completely different abilities can be complex and tedious. Until now.
I've created numerous charts which contain a wealth of information on high level Rogue armor and weapons (derived from http://www.thottbot.com), allowing players to easily compare items using Agility Equivalence Point (AEP) values. This method is based on a modified version of Ming's highly popular formula.
If you disagree with the way the formulas for any attributes are calculated, then you can easily adjust the scores to your liking. Just save the charts to your computer (view source and save), open them with Excel or some other spreadsheet application, and plug in new values on the AEP Values Row at the top of each chart. The AEP scores for every item in that chart will adjust accordingly and then all you have to do is re-sort the data to your liking.
The charts listed below can all be found on my website:
