YES NAM IS BACK!
Even though it most likely won't really affect me for a while, it'll be great once I come back. >_>

It wasn't very much fun playing without the guild. I survived a whole 48 hours or something solo, and I really missed everyone. I'd write more, but I'm at work now and coworkers are annoying me, so it's messing with my chi...

mmm I could use some roasted green chile, preferably in IEEE-Big Endian burrito format. The food here has no heat, and they always byte-swap it on me

2 Questions. . .Question #1 WTF is a IEEE-Big Endian burrito? Question #2 WTF is a byte-swap?

Sorry Stomp, I'm half thinking about coding and half thinking about eating, so I kinda spliced my metaphors.
The IEEE is an international electronic and computer standards organization. They've defined standard binary representations for integer and floating point values of various lengths. Unfortunately there's still some debate as to what order the bytes of multi-byte data types should come in, so we have big-endian and little-endian.
So sometimes we must swap the bytes around to get them in the proper order when we pull them raw from a server somewhere, or else get very strange results when we perform math operations on them.
Therefore, one possibility for a byte-swapped burrito is one in which the tortilla is on the inside instead of the outside for half of it's length. It would be kinda messy, but provided it's smothered in green chile I would not hesitate to eat it.

I still dont know why we dont use nibbles instead of bytes. So much more elegant.
