2v2:
For Melee Classes (primarily warriors and Enhancement shaman), it helps to mount up on a 100% mount. Especially in the arena with the bridge if you book to the right and go up the ramp closest to the enemy it can take them by surprise, tab target and unload on someone or assist your partner and down someone real fast that way. Can win if they are prepared.
Also if you can CC someone, it helps.

CC and focus targeting is the best and most effective way to down a team. Also, have the ability to break the others team CC, trinks, cleanse and purge, help keep your team members up. Have a healer who can take some shit while you dish it out helps alot to. For more on the healer aspect, talk to Zonkers.

Class mix: what is the best mix?
In my opinion, there is no perfect mix. They're are mixes that can work well together but the arena really comes down to raw skill and the ability of a team to work together.
Of course gear does play a huge factor and spec can as well. But a hunter& rogue combo can take done a pally&warrior combo if they play well together.
My recommendation is to get yourself up to 85+ resiliance before entering the arena or have Gear that truely complements your spec. Damage reduction talents are worth they're points in gold and being able to solo a player of the same class helps as well. Knowing your own class is essential for success.
as a closing point, remember that patients can be the winning factor in a match. Waiting for them to attack can give you time to make a game plan and set-up totems or whatever.
Happy hunting and Kick some ass

unless the healer is really good and can make you miss with your interrupts.

in which case the rogue just has to respond faster than the healer can move, by simply waiting a second or two after the cool down on interrupts is up and not falling into the pattern of it it makes it very hard to the healer to anticipate the rogues movements.

Even if you do do that, some healers can fake ye out. Timing the heal and cancelling it about .6-.8 seconds after starting can cause your attacker to interrupt late. Its tricky, but if you know their CD is done, you can do that a couple times and they might miss.

miss or not, healers only doing half of the heals they normally do is enough for Jak I and to kill the shit out of the vast majority of toons.
