Both accounts have been compromised. Narsel has lost bag, bank and gold, Falorn has only lost gold with possibly some items being lost from other alts. Not that there was much to take from my alts.
Please do not send gold or flowers, instead donate to a favorite charity of your choice.
Makes me want to pull a Stomp on their asses.

How? Probably a keylogger placed onto our PC. All items have been restored.

You can get drive-by'd if you are using an old, un-updated version of IE 5. They exploit vulnerabilities in the code to execute from a remote location. Also you can get some things that hide themselves as Ad-ware removers or Spyware removers as well as toolbars, etc. Most of the stuff is not malicious, just annoying, but sometimes they track your internet usage (and your keystrokes on certain websiteS).

Key word there is "shit." You're generally only ever going to get this stuff if you're downloading from... shall we say dubious websites.
The three "Ps" of malware sources: Piracy, Popups, and Porn.

Basically, yes.
Popups are the most likely place for WoW hacking-programs to be found.
