most likely 8 server time we will also try to complete the quest chain for the scholo key, which is lengthy, costly (15g), and widespread
dont wait for me though, use the lotv channel to pst my guys, get started early

I just respecced defensive: 14/5/32
New stats:
tanking gear (highest armor gear) str 205 sta 291 agi 118 armor 7726
fire resist gear 193 253 113 7152
normal gear 250 326 118 7502
I also have +32 defense and 130 fire resist. My tanking weapon is currently the Axe of Rin'jin, 1.9 speed. I'll upgrade this soon. Also rec'd a crusader enchant on my OEB so I wont be totally useless at DPS.
Reason why normal gear has more stamina than tanking gear: Tanking gear uses Legplates of the eternal guardian, no stamina. (really just backup armor) Normal gear uses the Legplates of Might, which has a lot of stamina.

seems i have quite a bit to learn about being a defensive warrior, had a rough time in MC last night
challenge shouted on garr by accident (old key bound memory, sigh) didnt bring enough health pots (amazing how many more you need as a tank than dps) was stunned a lot by the mobs i was tanking
o well, live and learn...

From the stand point of a DPSer you did a great job last night! Sure the challenging shout was a little silly, but it caused no harm and you quickly admitted it was you. No harm, no foul. And I bet it will never happen again, cause I know personally at least, a leason learned like that is one you dont forget!
But on most mobs I had no problem unleashing the full Wrath Of Aph, or WOA, and not pulling aggro. It was nice. I remember when Shanthis started tanking, two regular SBs and the mob would make a B line for my face and proceed to stomp it into the ground.

Rotten, you never wiped the group so i thought you did fine for not being a MC experainced tank (in tanking that is). Zrog has wiped us many a time

IMO the best players arent the ones who mess up the least. They are the ones that learn the fastest. We have some tanks that need to be told almost everytime that for those stupid annihilators that it is a free for all. Yet they still yell, "Hey xxxxx get off, I got this one!". Dude, no, the raid has him. Anyway by that logic wiping us the least wont make you better . But you knew that! But you are one of the fastest learners. Maybe its because you are not always running your gums about stupid stuff in officer chat and actually pay attention. Not that I run my mouth during MC <_< no sir. That would be stupid. >_>

Crap... shoulda read this thread earlier before I posted elsewhere... delete/delete
I think Rottenheart did fine tanking in MC. Granted, his gear is probably not as tank-oriented as some others, but with his farming abilities, I'm sure that won't take long to turn around.
I had to move a few buttons around (and that took some getting used to) when I started tanking in raids. I think I'll post a screenshot of my button setup on the HGA site sometime (can't do it now, I'm at work).
I have made a LOT of mistakes in MC, and most of the time, it's other people who cover for me. That said, I also notice that I'm usually the FIRST tank to pull stuff off the squishies, sometimes even while another tank is attempting it! /flex
<Zrog blows his own horn... and yes, it WAS good for me.>
Ahem.
Rottenheart, I'm more concerned about how you LIKED tanking in MC than how good you are at it. Like the others said, you'll learn fast if you care to.
I don't think I'm actually the best PLAYER, but I know I'm the most raid-EXPERIENCED tank that the HGA has right now. What that really gives me is "situational awareness", rather than protection against wiping the raid.
(Note to self: watch behind self when backing up).
