Because I'm crazy: Actually got a decent framerate too, about 45 fps in the active application.

Bored much?
How is guild wars by the way? Not that I have the time to put into another game, but maybe when *gasp* I tire of WoW I will look for another game. And Superkitty? Nice.
AND think you have your UI small enough? Damn I am just full of comments this morning.

I would love it if at some point in time people migrated from LotV(WoW) to a LotV(GW), it's a game that I feel I have neglected, and having some of you people there would be definate incentive for me to play more of it. One thing about the game though, it's *not* an MMORPG. It is not "massively" multiplayer in the way the WoW or EQ are. While there are central hubs in the game in which everyone can mingle, the meat and potatoes of the game, the actual gameplay if you will, is all instanced. You form parties at these "hubs" and then take that party out into the world at large, or into missions, or into PvP arenas. Now that that is out of the way, I think the game itself is great. The concept of character "builds" is a much more intricate process, as you not only select what abilities a toon has and is good with, you can only select eight out of however many skills/spells/whatever you know to bring into any given "instance." (The game logic behind this is that each skill is tied to a "ring", which apparently cannot be worn on the thumbs.) There are six classes, of which you choose two. Warrior, ranger, monk, necromancer, mesmer, and elementalist. your primary class determines what you can equip, and you gain the benefit of it's primary attribute. Strength, expertise, divine favor, soul reaping, fast casting, or energy storage, respectively. I'm going to stop there, as I'm starting to go into a more detailed description of the game than is necessary, suffice to say I like it. It also looks great. As for my UI in WoW, I have the UI scale turned all the way down, and when I shrank the window it got even smaller. I don't normally keep it unreadable.

I was going to say, man Vith must have X-Ray vision.
As for Guild Wars, correct me if I am wrong, but there is no monthly fee correct? If thats the case I will go pick up the game tonite or tomorrow and have a look see. I dont need sleep anyway, right?
I figure it would be a good one to play on days where I sign on WoW , see no one and end up just quiting and going to watching TV. My goal it to get TV out of my life for good! (and sleep too)
LotV is busting outta this game and going global baby!

You are correct, there is no fee. That is the main reason it is neglected in favor of WoW. i'll always be able to play Guild Wars, I have to keep paying to play WoW...
Not that I forsee myself ceasing to play WoW in the near future.

A further note, the game has a rather substantial "learn to play" area at the beginning. Many people dick around in it for hours, don't progress the plot so that they can leave the are, decide there isn't enough to do, and say the game sucks. They are silly.
If you do get it I'll roll up another toon and play with you from the beginning.
edit: Wow, missed your post entirely, rotten. I wasn't referring to you in the above, I have no idea how far you even got, though I seem to recall you started a guild, so you had to've gotten beyond the pre-searing area...
As with any game, some like it, some don't. I'm the former, rotten is the latter. Though I think we can agree to disagree on this subject.

Yes, McG just told me that he has known plenty of people who pick it up, enjoy it at first, then end up getting bored quickly with it. Now I am second guessing buying it X(

Screw Guild Wars.......why suck at two games when you can kick major ass at the better one.
I have no future with Guild Wars.

Lol, that's pretty funny Vith. I did the same a few days ago with WoW/City of Villains.
Bolting Runecloth on one app while fireballing/Assassin's Striking mobs on the other.

ive thought about getting it, but i think my brain can only take one "mmorpg" at a time and if im playing monthy for one of them im gonna play that one as much as possible, i think GW would be a tues morning wait till the realms come back up game.

Buring is exactly right, that's the role it plays for me right now, really. At the moment I have neither the time nor the incentive to play *two* online RPGs at once, so the one I'm paying for gets priority.
